Hey... this is a first...
This past week, Nate started calling students and adults until he filled the list up (with people who were available) for a group interview with the television crew from TV26 (the local cable TV station that runs the community bulletin board... Ken Richer, the editor goes to New Hope).
The full interview is really cool... 6 students and 3 adults... you can watch it several times a week on TV26 (channel 19 on Time Warner) or you can watch it online (or download it) at http://www.tv26.net/AAWC/AAWC.htm
Check it out!!!

Our Friends!!!
Pray for our friends in the gulf! Hurricane Gustav is starting to show it's strength in Biloxi. I "spoke" (text) with Smokey a couple of hours ago and they have boarded up the house and are hunkering down for the storm (it is complete gridlock trying to get out of Biloxi). The weather will start hitting throughout the night although the actual hurricane will not make landfall until sometime tomorrow.
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR FRIENDS!!!!

Pictures Galore!!!
Hello again, everyone!
I just wanted to touch base with everyone again to remind you that we posted ALL of the pictures from the trip onto a central web page rather than producing 5 DVD's for each person (there are more than 18 GB of pictures... more than 4000 shots!!!)
These pictures are from both the cameras of students and the Church's good camera. As you enter the main page of the site, you will see a few shots on the left and some "collections" on the right. The collections are categorized into "Student Cameras" and "NHCC Camera."
Once inside of each collection, you will see "sets" of pictures including - WORK - HONDURANS - NHCC TEAM - etc.
If you click on any photo, you should be able to download it to your computer and then have it printed (at Walmart or your favorite digital photo processing site). I believe that you can also sign up for a flickr account on the site itself and then just order a print (or a coffee mug, mouse pad or other stuff) right from them.
The address for the site is: www.flickr.com/photos/thelinc
Just a note: we will also be adding pictures from "the Edge" on Wednesday nights in the future (and I have already added some "old school" pictures from previous trips). Watch out for more as I run across them!
Please email me @ jeremy@newhopecc.org if you see any problems with the site.
Thanks!!

Our Mission is Not Over!
Well the trip is over but our mission is not!
This Sunday, August 17th, our children's ministry is giving us the wonderful opportunity to help serve children in our own church and they are depending on us to help lead some of this event. There are two shifts you can choose from 10:30-12:00 and 12:00-1:30... or both if you would like! We have several jobs that you can choose from as well and we will try our best to accomadate your desired position.
1) Carnival games
2) Face painting
3) Random serving positions
Please give me a call, text or email asap with:
1) who you are
2) when you can work
3) what postion you want to serve
or reply with some outlandish excuse about why you can't be there... the excuse better be good because I want to see all of you agian!
I hope to see you all Sunday!

Malaria Meds!!!
Hey everyone!
Don't forget that you are supposed to take your Malaria medication (assuming that you are on the weekly prescription) TOMORROW with your most substantial meal. If you were bitten by a mosquito that carried the disease, my understanding is that you are still susceptible to contract the disease.
Just a reminder...

Want a sneak preview?
Ok... I know that most of you will see it in Church before you get to see it here, but if you happen to be up late and want to see it early, here is the video that we are showing of pictures from the trip. BIG TIME thanks to Stacey B for taking some of her recooperating time to sift through the 1500 photos to put this together!
Big part of the service
Hey Everyone!
This Sunday is shaping up a bit different than we expected! Originally, we were planning on the "web cast" day to be the primary day to share the stories of the trip... and then incorporating a few stories of the trip into this week's sermon...
As I have been planning the sermon ("From Fear to Faith") I am sure you can see how this trip is hard to avoid!
As a result, I have asked 4 of the students from our trip who shared applicable experiences with me or our group to share a bit of those stories when it relates to parts of the sermon.
Also, Stacey Bock has been struggling all day now to whittle the pictures that she has down to a video that we will show in all three services!
So... MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE.... WE WILL BE SHARING THE SAME THING ALL THREE SERVICES, BUT YOUR FRIENDS COULD SURE USE YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT!!!!
ALSO - PASS ON THE WORD TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW SO THAT WE CAN MAKE SURE TO GET THIS INFO OUT ASAP!!!!
