Comments on the Blog!

Ok - just one important thought that I would like all of you to consider. Each night while we are gone, we get together to debrief and discuss the day's events. During that time, we go through any "comments" that parents or others who are following the blog might post! I have to tell you that this is MAJOR encouragement to our students!

So, here is my challenge for you... as you are following the blog throughout this week, please consider leaving a comment as often as you can! Your comment can be a little note directly to your student, or a prayer for the team that you simply write out, a verse that God is laying on your heart or a quote that impacts you... ANYTHING that could even remotely be encouraging to our kids!

All you have to do to leave a comment is go to the actual blog page (you can't do it from the emails). So, visit http://www.godeepblog.com/ and go to the bottom of the post on which you would like to comment (we read the comments from the most recent post each night) - - click on the word "comments." From there, you can view the comments left by others as well as post your comment.

Listen - comments can be left by ANYONE... parents, friends, family, people from the church, strangers, ANYONE WHO WANTS TO ENCOURAGE OUR KIDS!

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT... it can be as simple as "I am so glad you arrived safely" or "I love you, _______" to a full paragraph with an update on how the cat is doing.

WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!!

Thanks!

Jeremy

As I am reading this blog right now, most of you are probably getting ready to leave your comfortable homes to meet your team at New Hope. I'm praying that your experience will be life-changing and heart-changing. Soon, you'll be sitting in teensy airplane seats and then you'll be on the road to your destination in some stinking hot weather, likely with very little sleep. But you know what? Doing God's work has very little to do with your comfort. In fact, I would venture to say the the more UNcomfortable you are, the more likely the Holy Spirit will be to step in and WoW you! My prayer for you is that you will see God move in and around you this week -- EVEN TODAY! -- in very real and tangible ways. Blessings to each of you for GOD IS NEAR!

I drove by the church on the way home from working and saw that you are ready and eager for an adventure. Mike and I will be praying for all of you throughout your trip. May your flight be just right for what the Lord is teaching you!!

I was able to follow your flight plan on-line this morning as you flew down the panhandle of Florida over Cuba and on across the water to San Pedro. How cool! At one point, you got to an altitude of 35000 feet. I didn't know you could follow the flight that closely on-line. A little scary to think anyone can get on-line and know your location in the sky!

Love you Catie, miss you already, hope you all got the beds done in time! Get a good nights rest!

Blessings,

Maggie

Grace & Peace,

It is winter here in Bryan. Last night it was a freezing 67 degrees. Today's high should reach just above freezing, near 80. Tell T that we had KFC last night in his honor and yes it is true Stac when you are not here to impress I will stoop to fast food. In my boyscout days, cockroach soup was one of our favorites and throw in a little lizard and wow I am jeolous! I heard if you put chewing gum on your hears they will come up and lick you. Just kidding. God's blessings to your willingness to truely be God's hands and feet and the light to this world in need.

Have a great day!
