There is such a thing as over-planning!

Well, it looks like the planning thing was a bit overdone! In 15 years of student ministry, I have always struggled to get groups to leave on time!

When we planned the registration and loading process, we assumed that it would take at least an hour and a half! Well... not so much! I guess when you have parents come to the church when they have yet to go to bed, it encourages everyone to be on time!

As a result, we were registered and loaded up in less than an hour... and now we are waiting for the ticket counters to open! Students are laying all over the floors playing cards and talking.... the are so anxious!

I will write more later... just wanted to let everyone know that we arrived safely... AND EARLY!!!!

Don't forget to read the previous article (below) about comments - it is very important!!!!

Glad to hear the first leg of the trip was a safe one. Thanks for the update. Leaders - thanks for pulling an all nighter. When was the last time you did that?

It was good to see you all head off in your MATCHING shirts last night! On the way home Kyle and I were commenting on how much work you have put into this trip. It wasn't OVER planning, it was just great planning! Looking forward to what God will do.

Jeremy,
On Tuesday, March 11th while on your advance trip you wrote these words: "If you are still on the fence about going on this trip, let me give you one piece of advice:
If you are happy with your life the way it is... STAY HOME! This place will not leave you the same!"

I can not wait to know how lives have been changed and hear the stories. Whose lives will change the most - Our young Americans or the people of Honduras that they serve. I hedging my bets...... (not really - I don't gamble)

SB & TB and all,
This morning (Monday) at 6:30 am, I said a prayer for you, knowing it was time for you to board the airplane. My primary prayer was for an overwhelming sense of His PEACE, as well as for safe travels. Now (at 6:50 pm), I'm praying that the long bus ride is (or was) bearable! It was a very quiet and uneventful day in Bryan today.
Soli Deo Gloria - to God alone be the glory!

Way to over plan! I'm praying that our great Trinitarian God enables every willing student and leader to do more physically, grow more spiritually, and use the Gospel to change the people they meet totally. But, I guess you have to get there first. Anxious to see your first post from Honduras.
